A state lawmaker believes state workers deserve a raise

Senate Appropriations Committee Chair, Roger Thompson of Okema says his bill would increase pay by nine percent.

“We are looking at an overall cost of about 173 million dollars to do this,” Thompson said. “We do have money to be able to do this.”
