State Lawmakers are wanting to know if allegations of prison guards raping female inmates were fully investigated.
One of the interim studies by a legislative committee will focus on claims that the state corrections department has failed to investigate allegations that fully that prison guards have raped female inmates. A former employee of the department was denied whistle-blower status, and the agency now labels psychologist Whitney Lewis as a disgruntled former employee.
