Oklahoma’s Judicial Nominating commission is now accepting applications for a state supreme court justice. Yvonne Kauger is retiring early on December 1. She was the only justice on the general election ballot that didn’t win her retention vote. The 15-member commission will deliberate on the applications and ultimately recommend three to Governor Stitt for the final appointment. The requirements for a spot on the state supreme court include living in the Judicial District 4 area and having been an attorney for a least 5 years and at least 30 years old.
