AQUIFER OVERUSE COULD SPELL TROUBLE!

The water under Oklahoma’s panhandle is being used up faster and faster causing growing concern that in the not-too-distant future, the area could again resemble the Dust Bowl Days.  Seaboard farms is using around 18-hundred gallons a minute at its hog producing facility.  The states refusal to use meters means irrigators are still voluntarily reporting their water usage and climate change is making the panhandle increasingly hotter.  All of Guymon’s water comes from wells that pump the Ogallala Aquifer.
