arrests made in cattle deaths

An 18-year-old man faces four complaints of cruelty to animals and two counts of stealing livestock as part of a month-long Shawnee Police investigation into the killing of more than a dozen cattle belonging to the monks at Saint Gregory’s Abbey. Christopher Wallace was booked into the Pottawatomie County jail. A juvenile was also involved in the case which cost the monks 35-thousan dollars. The beef would have been sold as part of the abbey’s Mission Monks Marketplace.
