A House-passed bill prevents vehicles from being impounded within 60 days of when a tag expires. HB 2195 by Representative Dick Lowe is designed to provide relief to those who lose track of when their tag expires.

Lowe says the bill came after eight to ten people came forward to talk about small-town police departments impounding their cars for hundreds of dollars.
