Bill to Set 15 Percent Markup on Liquor Prices from Wholesaler Goes to Governor

Opponents argued the government was putting new requirements on the free market system, but the sponsor of a bill to set a 15 percent markup on liquor prices from the wholesaler, disagreed with that.

The bill also would allow liquor stores to offer discounts as long as it doesn’t drive the price below the required 6 percent markup at the retail level. The bill now goes to the Governor.
