One of the state’s most significant figures in music history was celebrated at the Oklahoma Capitol. Known as the King of Western Swing, Bob Wills, and the Texas Playboys were heard daily on Tulsa’s KVOO for decades. He was born on March 6, 1905.
The day featured a special recognition of Wills, who passed away in 1975. Will’s daughter Carolyn attended the events.
