Corn leafhoppers coming out of Mexico are spreading corn stunt to fields in Oklahoma. It’s the furthest northern detection of the disease so far. Corn stunt is spread by little bugs called corn leafhoppers that carry various pathogens. The bugs feed and reproduce on corn. Once infected it’s too late to stop the impact of corn stunt which can wipe out an entire crop.
