COVID Test Positivity rates are up

While the state health department no longer tracks covid numbers, OU Health is providing us with some interesting data. COVID test positivity rates have gone up dramatically, sitting at about 18 percent right now with the entire state seeing more positive tests.  There were 51 confirmed cases in Oklahoma hospitals in mid-July which is the highest number since March.  Most commonly deaths are in the elderly and or immunocompromised demographics that did not receive treatment with drugs such as Paxlovid.
