An Oklahoma District Attorney is taking a new approach to an all-to-often drug crime.

Prosecutors are increasingly being faced with cases involving addicts sharing Fentanyl and dying from overdose. In the past, such a case would be prosecuted as murder.

Now, Oklahoma County District Attorney Vicki Behenna says if the case is addict-on-addict, the charge will be first-degree manslaughter. She said that way, a person can seek treatment.
