Drivers Impaired by Drugs Present Complications for Law Enforcement Officers

CLICK HERE to listen to details from Radio Oklahoma’s Dale Forbis and commentary from state Senator Michael Brooks.

Deciding which drivers are legally impaired by drugs is a problem for law enforcement officers. If an officer thinks the driver is drunk, they can ask the driver to blow into a breathalyzer, but determining if a driver is on drugs is more complicated.

State Senator Michael Brooks says it is important that adequate funding is provided to train those officers on the front lines.
