Firefighters and firefighting planes or super scoopers are now staged in Burns Flat in preparation for the high fire danger today. The firefighters battled California wildfires earlier this year. Bridger Aerospace out of Montana works fires around the year across the country. According to the National interagency Fire Center more than eight thousand wildfires have burned across the U.S. this year that’s two thousand fires above the 10-year average.
