fireworks accidents cause burns of hands and eyes

For doctors and nurses in Oklahoma emergency rooms, the next few days will be filled with people coming in with injuries from fireworks.  Dr. Christopher Lentz with INTEGRIS Burn Center says mistakes with fireworks will impact medical staff for weeks. Lentz says the best thing to do is to enjoy public displays of fireworks.  If you do suffer a burn – cool it with water, clean it with soap and water, cover it and call your doctor if the burn is bigger than your hand.
