Gentner Drummond Suspects natural gas market manipulation

Oklahoma’s attorney general is ready to take legal action against parties that manipulated the market two years ago during a devastating winter storm.

A just-completed review suggests some companies collected a lot of money by limiting supplies of things like natural gas, driving costs higher.

Attorney General Gentner Drummond is promising to sue those companies if the investigation confirms those allegations.

“It will probably be the most significant lawsuit filed by the state of Oklahoma in its history,” Drummond said.
