Governor Stitt Vetoes Senate Bill 1210

CLICK HERE to listen to commentary from Oklahoma County Assessor Larry Stein.

County assessors across the state are disappointed with Governor Stitt’s veto of Senate Bill 1210, which would have allowed them to use data gathered by fixed-wing aircraft to help determine property appraisals. Oklahoma County Assessor Larry Stein says it was strictly an efficiency tool that the governor didn’t see merit in.

Stein says they have over three hundred thousand properties that must be appraised, and using aerial images would eliminate the need for employees to visit each property every few years.
