House Members Approve “Women’s Bill of Rights”

House members approved a bill creating a so-called “Women’s Bill of Rights.” State Senator Carri Hicks asked sponsor Senator Jessica Garvin of Duncan about the bill.

The purpose of the Women’s Bill of Rights is to bring clarity to both biological sexes and the way they are treated as such under the laws of this state.  Senator Julia Kirt says the bill is purely political and not helpful to people who are transgendered.
