Man Accused of Killing Edmond Police Officer Dies Overnight

The man accused of killing Edmond Police Officer CJ Nelson last year in a traffic crash has reportedly died.


Fifty-five-year-old Jay Fite was in legal trouble for failing to keep his ankle monitor charged. The judge was to decide whether to return him to his jail cell. Fite’s attorney has confirmed that Fite died overnight, as he had been diagnosed with cancer.
