It’s unclear whether a proposal to cut income tax rates remains on the table as legislative leaders continue to hammer out a budget for fiscal year 2025. Senate President Pro Tem Greg Treat says more work remains to be done.
Treat hasn’t counted how many line items or the dollar amounts are now in agreement with both chambers. He isn’t sure if the Governor will sign off on the budget if it doesn’t include an income tax rate cut. More talks will be held next week.
