A new bill passed by the House will require public schools with grades 6 through 12 to provide free menstrual products in all female bathrooms. Representative Cynthia Rose says some schools are already doing this.

“Some schools are doing this, but the school counselors and some teachers are buying products out of their own pockets and not being reimbursed,” Rose said.

Public schools with grades under 6 will also be required to provide menstrual supplies, but only in neutral locations such as a nurses' office or administrative office.
