OHA President Takes Statewide System of Care Approach to Oklahoma Hospitals

The newly hired president of the Oklahoma Hospital Association says rural facilities face some unique challenges. None have been forced to close recently. Oklahoma Hospital President Rich Rasmussen said Oklahoma is taking a statewide system of care approach right now.

“This system of care is really built on a bedrock of integration between our rural and urban communities,” Rasmussen said.

The vote to expand Medicaid, Rasmussen said, has helped greatly to expand the pursuit.
