Oklahoma Starts New Program Seeking Solutions to Red Cedar Infestation

Governor Kevin Stitt signed the Terry Peach North Canadian Watershed Restoration Act, named after a former state secretary of agriculture. The invasive cedars are harming the environment and harming the state’s economy.


The sponsor of the bill is State Representative Mike Dobrinski of Okeene. Dobrinski said over three million dollars will be set aside for the program.
