Chances are, if you drive a car with tribal license plates, using the state’s toll roads won’t cost you anything. That is because of the state’s new “PlatePay” system, where instead of toll booths, drivers do not have to stop to pay the toll.
Because many tribal tags are not registered with the state, this is already costing the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority millions of dollars in lost revenue.
