OMMA To Crack Down ON Licenses to Lessen Criminal Activity

For a long time after medical marijuana arrived, there were almost no rules, but that is slowly changing. Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority Director Adria Berry said many criminals have been operating out in the open.


“It is hard to wrap your mind around, but a lot of the criminal organizations, even cartel members, have OMMA and OBNDD (Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs) licenses,” Berry said.


It’s estimated that possibly up to two thousand of the six thousand licensed growers are doing something that breaks the law.
