OMRF receives $3.7M to study immune Reactions

The Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation will conduct a study of immune reactions in the brain that may lead to conditions like Alzheimer’s.  The work will be funded by a five-year, three-point-seven million dollar grant from the National Institutes of Health.  The brain’s dedicated immune cells initially are protective, but they can activate and lead to brain diseases associated with aging.
