OSDE REported to Have Asked Job Applicants Political Questions

The State Department of Education Human Resource staffers are asking job opening candidates if they are supportive of the efforts by Superintendent Ryan Walters in the interviewing process.

Former Department of Education employee Michelle Strain has gone public with questions that started out in a normal fashion but then switched to a political slant.

One of the questions Strain asked was, “Do you support Superintendent Walters in his initiatives?”

Several state human resource officers say they have never asked those types of questions in interviews.
