program to help student mental health runs out of money

Teaching school children positive thinking, manners, and being respectful to helping them with personal hygiene, the Oklahoma Councilor Corps has produced dramatic results.  However, Covid funding for the program has run dry.  Jessica Pearce with Oklahoma Watch found many school districts have laid off their mental health workers. Others are struggling to keep them.

The program began with over 35-million dollars in funding which covered half the cost of the mental health experts.
