questions about superintendent consultant

A state lawmaker hopes the state attorney general will investigate the employment status of an adviser to State Superintendent Ryan Walters.  Representative Mark McBride of Moore tells the Oklahoman that adviser Matt Langston, who lives in Austin, doesn’t have a contract for employment. He was paid 113-thousand dollars for his advice in 2023 and 45 thousand so far this year. Langston also receives state benefits, despite his part-time status.   Representative McBride would like to know more about the arrangement. An OSDE spokesman says McBride, who is a Republican, is a liar and continues work with teacher unions, extremists and the far left to stop education reforms.
