Hearings begin in one week on what’s being described as an historic O G & E rate hike. The over 332-million-dollar request would have major impact on residential and business customers. The electric company says it needs the extra cash to strengthen the state’s power grid against increasingly violent storms. The rate hike would also increase stockholder returns.
