A measure passed during the just-completed legislative session grants access to biomarker texting for Oklahoma patients. The bill’s sponsor, Republican State Senator Paul Rosino, said the tests have to be conducted before any treatment is given.
Rosino’s Senate Bill 513 helps doctors determine the best treatments for cancer, arthritis, autoimmune conditions, and rare diseases.
“It is a huge medical advance for the state of Oklahoma and for the people of Oklahoma,” Rosino said.
Rosino said the bill was his top priority this session, and it will go into effect on January 1st.
