In a video posted on social media, Oklahoma School Superintendent Ryan Walters is accusing the local and national news media of spreading lies about the death of 16-year-old Owasso High School student Nex Benedict. Walters says there is a political agenda aimed at him and other conservatives.
The medical examiner’s preliminary finding was that Benedict did not die from trauma. The non-binary student was attacked by three other students in a high school bathroom.
