Oklahoma’s number one cancer in men is in the prostate. Dr. Michael Cookson with the OU Stephenson Cancer Center says September is prostate cancer awareness month, and men older than 50 should be screened.
More than 3,000 men in Oklahoma are diagnosed with the disease. While there isn’t a magic pill to prevent it, Cookson advises living a healthy lifestyle will help.
