Special Session at Oklahoma Capitol Possibly Coming Next Week

There is a possibility that Oklahoma’s legislators will be called back to the State Capitol for a special session, but nothing is official yet.

Governor Kevin Stitt would have liked to see a tax cut of one-quarter percent, but that did not pass. There are also a couple of Stitt vetoes that could face an override vote. House Minor Leader Cyndi Munson said nothing about a special session is official yet.

“My assumption is yes, and it would be June 12…,” Munson said.

That June 12 date lands on next Monday. All legislative leaders agree it is possible, and the governor has hinted he might put it in motion.
