Sports betting has fallen short of passage in yet another legislative session. Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association chair Matthew Morgan explains what the next step is for those supporting the idea.
Morgan said this means people who want to bet on sports are taking their dollars to other states or to illegal black market gambling sites.
“We have not seen the Legislative and Executive branches come together…,” Morgan said.
Indian gaming is very successful in Oklahoma, and leaders would like to add sports betting to the services they offer, but reaching a consensus has been a challenge.
