If you spot an emergency vehicle on the side of the road with its lights flashing and don’t move over – it could cost you a thousand-dollar fine. A new law goes into effect on November 1st. It is set up to protect law enforcement officers and tow truck drivers, among others.

Trooper Preston Cox was injured when a driver failed to pull over two years ago. The fine was 249 dollars. State lawmakers backing the change say failing to move over is going to be expensive.
