Supreme Court Charter School Decision to Possibly Impact Oklahoma

CLICK HERE to listen to Radio Oklahoma's Bob Sands provide details.

Recent decisions by the U.S. Supreme Court were seen by supporters of a religious public charter school as an opening to win approval over state-funded religious schools.

The U.S. Supreme Court chose not to take a case involving a North Carolina Charter school, and in the decision, the court said public charter schools work on behalf of the government.

However, the high court’s refusal to hear another case involving charter schools is now seen as possibly impacting Oklahoma’s decision to approve such a religious mix in education.
