The former California Home of Oklahoma’s Favorite Son, Will Rogers, has been destroyed by wildfire. The home and living museum were located within the Will Rogers State Historic Park in Los Angeles. The fire consumed the ranch house and impacted the surrounding 186-acre property. Will Rogers was born in Indian Territory in 1879 and moved to California in 1919, becoming a beloved Hollywood actor. Officials are still assessing the full extent of the damage and California State Parks staff are on-site working to salvage artifacts and assess the damage.
