U.S. Dept Of Justice Sues Oklahoma Over Undocumented Residents Law

As promised, the U.S. Department of Justice has sued Oklahoma over the implementation of a new law targeting undocumented residents. The DOJ says legal precedent has established that “the authority to admit noncitizens and to determine their status in the United States is a core responsibility of the federal government. The law, scheduled to become effective July 1, is like one enacted by Texas and which has since been stayed by the courts.
