An invasion of sorts is underway in parts of the state. Details from Radio Oklahoma’s Bob Sands.


In parts of Oklahoma, thousands of cutworm moths are migrating. Every decade or so, there is a major outbreak.


They can have a wingspan of up to two inches, and feed at night. Cutworms feed on a wide variety of plants, including but not limited to tomatoes, potatoes, peppers, and cabbage.
